About me

Star Wars Legion The Outpost

I have been a wargamer for about 12 years and like most of us it al started with Warhammer 40K but the very first time I held a miniature model in my hand was when I was 12 years old in 1990 when I  played HeroQuest with some of my friends,..a lot! Since then I have played Warhammer 40K, Fantasy, Bolt Action and Spectre operations. All good fun but in recent years I played fewer and fewer games and the pile of unpainted miniatures only got bigger instead of smaller. As a result I stopped buying more miniatures so that was kind of a good thing I guess.

But then at the end of 2017 I heard the news that Fantasy Flight Games was about to release yet another game under the Star Wars license. But this time a real miniature wargame with Star Wars models. it was...LEGION!

This would be enough to get my hobby fire going again, this is..."the spark"!

I decided to clear out my hobby room where piles of stuff were gathering dust on my once so bussy workstation. I sold a lot of models that I was never going to build or paint. And then I was on my way.

I bought the core set with an extra box of rebels to get me started and it didn't take long before I played my first game. A lot of models followed and I still enjoy playing this game today.

Why this blog? I like to keep track of my hobby with specific blogs. This blog will only feature Star Wars Legion and related subjects. I like to document my super secret painting recipe's here so I can replicate them later.(and you can copy them) I also like to write down tactics, army lists and general gaming articles. The best thing about blogging is to get other people inspired and the best way to do that is by making tutorials so they will also come to this blog. Making terrain and painting up models, here's the place that I will show you how I do it. Make sure to hit the "Tutorials" tab at the top every now and then. The finished models will feature in my Showcase "Gallery" which you can also find at the top. This way I have my Legion miniatures in my display cabinet in my hobby room but also online.
This Blog will also be a great resource of usefull links of interesting Star Wars Legion sites and other Blogs.

I really hope you will enjoy your stay here.

Keep coming back for more Star Wars Legion updates and may the Force be with you!
